SmartMLS Sign FAQs

Q: Can I import contacts into SmartMLS Sign from another program?
A: Unfortunately, it is not possible to import contacts from another program. All contacts must be manually entered into SmartMLS Sign.

Q: What is the difference between Forms and Templates?
A: Forms are blank documents. Templates are documents that have been pre-configured with signature, initial and date fields that correspond to specific signing roles (buyer, seller, agent, etc.).

Q: Can other signers access a copy of the document with my signatures (and vice versa)?
A: Signing participants cannot see each other's signatures until the signing is complete. After a participant completes their portion of the signing, they have the ability to download a copy of the document (including their own signature), but they will never see the other participants' signatures until the signing is complete and the final version of the fully executed document is sent to all participants.

Q: Can I fill out a listing input form in SmartMLS Sign and upload it to the MLS as an INC listing?
A: No. This feature is not available in the SmartMLS Sign platform.

Q: My office uses forms that are not currently in SmartMLS Sign. Is there a way to upload documents so they can be used by the entire office?
A: Yes. You can upload documents and create templates that you can use repeatedly. In addition, the Broker/Manager/Admin of the office has the ability to upload documents and configure them as templates for all agents in the office. Click here for more details.

Q: Can I download a blank copy of a form?
A: Yes. This article guides you through the process of printing a blank copy of a form or template that you can bring with you and manually fill out later.

Q: Can I fill out a form in the platform and print it out for wet signatures?
A: Yes. Follow the steps in this article to print out a completed form to bring with you to be manually signed in person.

Q: What is this transition going to look like operationally for agents and brokers?
A: The transition decision will be made by the individual agent or brokerage. SmartMLS Sign has been available for agents to use for the past few months. Many have naturally migrated to using SmartMLS sign.

Q: Will subscribers have the opportunity to test or pilot SmartMLS Sign before it becomes the primary platform?
A: SmartMLS Sign has has been available for anyone to use for the past few months.

Q: Will all existing TransactionDesk forms, templates, workflows and Authentisign signing features be supported in SmartMLS Sign?
A: The forms libraries (such as CTR, SmartMLS and your local association of Realtors you had access to in TransactionDesk) are available to you today in SmarMLS sign. If you have custom templates setup, our team can work with you to transition them to SmartMLS Sign.

Q: Will historical transaction data or templates be migrated automatically, or will everything need to be manually exported/imported?
A: We have inquired with LoneWolf a number of times, unfortunately they do not have a process to export transactions in mass. You can and should export each transaction seperately and save it locally so you have it for your records.

Q: Are there integrations planned or currently available with CRMs, broker management systems, Dotloop, SkySlope, or other transaction management platforms?
A: We would love to interact with other signing tools (and have tried for years). Sadly, we have not had any success. As for CRMs, we are reviewing what the requirements are and what an integration would look like.

Q: Will there be additional costs associated with SmartMLS Sign in the future?
A: There are no plans for SmartMLS sign to have any additional costs.

Q: How long after January 1, 2027 will TransactionDesk data remain accessible, if at all?
A: Your access to TransactionDesk (including all of your transactions) ends on December 31, 2026. If you want to retain access to any of your TransactionDesk data, you must download and save them to your local computer.

Q: Will there be training sessions or onboarding resources specifically for brokerages?
A: We are currently conducting SmartMLS sign training sessions and are happy to set up individual sessions for your brokerage. Please contact SmartMLS Support to schedule a session.
