When sending out a signing, you are not limited to gathering signatures on just one document at a time. There will likely be times where you require signatures on multiple documents from the same group of people. Why not save time and effort and combine them into the same signing?
Fortunately, SmartMLS Sign can accommodate this without a problem. It is a breeze to include multiple documents in a single signing. This is true even when you are using more than one of our pre-configured tempates.
It is important, however, to understand how using multiple templates in the same signing impacts the setup and work flow of the signing.
If you have started a signing with a template and choose to add a second template to the signing, you will see the following warning (after you click Add Document(s)> Select Template):
After selecting the additional template(s), you'll be brought back to the signing editor where you'll see the selected templates in the Documents section on the right side of the screen:
Underneath the documents, you'll see that all signing participants are grouped together in a single stage in the Signing Flow section (highlighted in pink in the above image).
- If the order in which signing participants receive and perform their duties doesn't matter, you don't to do anything else within the Signing Flow section. The signing will be sent out to all participants at the same time and they are free to sign it in any order.
- If you prefer a specific signing order, use the Add Stage button to create an additional stage (or multiple additional stages). You can then drag and drop participants from Stage 1 to the stage you'd like them to be in.
Once you have the desired signing flow configured (and assuming you have already added all the participants and set up their respective tasks), click Send Signing (or Save Draft, if you're not ready to send the signing yet).
